The European paper specialist turns thirty this month. And we’re celebrating three decades of the firm producing paper products of the highest quality and marketing them around the world.
Navigator Paper was established in Portugal in 1992.
The Navigator Company is Portugal’s third largest exporter and the largest national added-value generator, accounting for approximately 1% of GDP and about 3% of all Portuguese exports. It employs more than 3,000 people.
Navigator Paper produces a range of paper types to serve three core use case types:
This portfolio of products helps to make Navigator the world’s best-selling premium office paper. It accounts for 50 percent of sales in the European premium sector.
The brand is produced by The Navigator Company, one of Europe’s leading paper manufacturers. Throughout its thirty-year history, the company has operated with a firm commitment to three core values:
Its continued success means that, today, the company’s total annual production capacity is near to 1.6 million tons of paper. This paper is shipped to 130 countries across five continents.
Navigator is produced using the best raw materials – Eucalyptus Globulus pulp – and all raw material used in the production comes from responsibly managed forests.
Navigator is manufactured on some of the most up-to-date machines operating today, by people who take pride in making the finest quality paper.
Navigator paper is made from renewable natural resources. In this way, the company makes a vital contribution to developing and protecting woodlands.
Paper is a fantastic resource with one of the best closed-loop processes in the world. Paper is biodegradable and recycling rates are high.
Most of the energy used to produce Navigator paper comes from renewable resources. As part of these eco-conscious production processes, the company produces five percent of energy produced in Portugal (2.5 TWh of electricity per annum).
