National “send a card to a friend” day falls each year on February 7. The day is intended to encourage us all to celebrate the people in our lives. Mailing a simple greetings card is a wonderful way to let a friend know they are in your thoughts.
The average American household sends 30 greetings cards during the course of a typical year. The practice is widespread: nine out of ten households send at least one greeting card a year.
National Send a Card to a Friend Day encourages us to take the opportunity to send at least one extra card this year. It’s an inexpensive way to let someone know they matter to you.
To really get into the spirit of the day, we encourage you to send a paper card through the postal service. This way, your chosen friend – or friends – will have the enjoyment of receiving a handwritten card through the mail.
